KWASU LUNCH 40 NEW SHUTTLE BUSES

Kwara State University, Malete facilitates the transport system with (40) forty new shuttle buses to convey Students on campus as the varsity set to complete it's smart city hostel that has the capacity to accommodate nothing less than five thousand Students.


KWASU Vice Chancellor, prof. Muhammad Mustapha Akanbi on the 31st of January, 2022 Commissioned the project and unveil the new buses today in name of KWASU administrators, Students and the committee incharge of the buses maintenance and safety.


Prof. Mustapha said the buses will begin it operation today onward with ticket policing in which the charges of transport within campus is #30 while from TARMAC to school premises is #50.


He revealed that "90 percentage of my students reside off campus and a lot of commercial driver engaging in drunk driving when I came on board, I have a dream of ensuring effective and efficient transport service delivery for Students because they are the most important stakeholder in school"


"Basically the shuttle buses operate on campus to the exclusion of the commercial bus driver in the varsity premises, The tickets can be obtain at KWASU microfinance bank and at the school park thereby making entry and exit easy"


The Vice Chancellor said "By the time I am done in three years KWASU will become one of the top school, because I am bringing more than 5000 Students on campus by then this shuttle bus will be used most time on campus" 


He said the Students welfarism has been his major priority and his administration is striving to create a conducive learning environment for Students. He however implores the Student to be patient with the shuttle bus drivers adding that the drivers should also do away from drunk driving.


The coordinator of the shuttle buses drivers, Bamidele Usman said their staff in charge of giving tickets are situated in TARMAC, School packs and also the tickets can be collected at the school microfinance bank at the varsity administration block.


He said "I witness most time where KWASU Student treck from TARMAC towards school gate all for the sake of finding a transport means to school, the administrator hereby lunches our service as driver of the shuttle buses to ease transport system"
