 2023 : I will use legislation to explore economic potentials in Kwara Central, Says Saliu Mustapha

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial Candidate for Kwara Central in 2023 general elections, Mallam Saliu Mustapha has said he will use legislation to explore natural resources and other economic potentials in Kwara Central to create wealth, reduce unemployment and boost the state economy. 


Saliu Mustapha disclosed this on Sunday while addressing stakeholders at consultative session with community leaders/stakeholders from Gambari in Ilorin East local government.


 

He also promised to harness economic potentials in communities across the Senatorial district, when elected.


According to him, the role of legislature is different from executive positions but I will add value to various communities through policies and legislation.


He noted that his philanthropic activities which is an act of charity comes under Saliu Mustapha Foundation will continue even as a Senator. 


His words: “I am a good listener and not a talkative. I listen to feel the heart of the people. This stakeholders engagement will continue even after my victory in 2023 general elections by God’s grace.


“I will facilitate developmental projects to our Senatorial district and lobby other colleagues in Senate to spread dividends of democracy to four local government areas in Kwara Central. Although, the role of lawmaker is different from executive but I will continue my charity works.”


Saliu Mustapha who spoke in English, Yoruba and Hausa language urged people of Kwara Central Senatorial district to vote him to get quality and effective representation. 


Prominent personalities from Gambari community including Justice Abdullahi Idris Haroon, Prof Lanre, Prof Aisha Gobir, Prof Ologele Assayouty, SA Strategy to Kwara Governor, Alhaji Saadudeen Salaudeen, Kwara NBA Secretary, Barr Taofiq Olateju and others shared testimonials of impactful gesture of Saliu Mustapha.


The Secretary Kwara Chapter, Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Barr Olateju narrated how Mallam Saliu Mustapha provided support for Barr Abdullahi Alhiknla who had health challenge that requires procure outside the country.

 Lack of waste bin cause water pollution in Sahoo, residents decried. By: Muhammad Sanni Aisha  fauziyat Qozeem a resident of sahoo said people dump waste product inside the river in sahoo, particularly the villagers at night. Fauziyat further stated that the dumping of waste products inside the river, had caused water pollution in the area, and makes the community looks unkept. She however appeal to kwara state government, and all stakeholders in the community to provide them a suitable waste-bin, and urge the residents to make proper use of it when it provided.
