 Governor Abdulrahman donates 10m to Aboto's family.

The Kwara state governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq has donated the sum of 10 million naira to the family of late Sheik Abdulganiy Aboto, a prominent Islamic scholar who died last week Friday. 


The governor made this known at the fidau prayer held for the late Sheik,adding that The prayer was attended by various personalities from and beyond Kwara state which included the Khalifatul Adabiy Sheikh Abdulqodir Muhammad Kamaldeen; Grand Mufti of Ilorin Sheikh Suleiman Faruq Onikijipa; Sheikh Sarafadeen Ajara; Alhaji Oladimeji Igbaja; Turaki Ilorin Soliu Mustapha; and Dr. Abdullateef Adekilekun, among many others.



However,It was reported that The late scholar along with two of his students were involved in a fatal accident on Friday 31st of August, 2022 in Ilorin while coming from a sermon in Niger state. Their bodies were recovered from the flood with their damaged vehicle.


  Sheik aboto was succeeded by wives and 17 children.

 Lack of waste bin cause water pollution in Sahoo, residents decried. By: Muhammad Sanni Aisha  fauziyat Qozeem a resident of sahoo said people dump waste product inside the river in sahoo, particularly the villagers at night. Fauziyat further stated that the dumping of waste products inside the river, had caused water pollution in the area, and makes the community looks unkept. She however appeal to kwara state government, and all stakeholders in the community to provide them a suitable waste-bin, and urge the residents to make proper use of it when it provided.

KWASU LUNCH 40 NEW SHUTTLE BUSES

  By Mariam Abdulkareem Kwara State University, Malete facilitates the transport system with (40) forty new shuttle buses to convey Students on campus as the varsity set to complete it's smart city hostel that has the capacity to accommodate nothing less than five thousand Students. KWASU Vice Chancellor, prof. Muhammad Mustapha Akanbi on the 31st of January, 2022 Commissioned the project and unveil the new buses today in name of KWASU administrators, Students and the committee incharge of the buses maintenance and safety. Prof. Mustapha said the buses will begin it operation today onward with ticket policing in which the charges of transport within campus is #30 while from TARMAC to school premises is #50.
