 AGUNBIADE RESIDENT GROAN OVER DILAPIDATED ROADS

Road users in the AGUNBIADE street area are in for a hard time as the dilapidated state of roads in the street get worsened 


Motorist are compelled to spend productive hours on a few minutes drive route due to needless pot holes and bad sports on the roads.

 It was reported that the damaged roads apparently left unattended across the whole community areas, are flooded by frequent down pours. Thereby impending vehicular movement and inflicting pains on road users


Some of the damaged roads includes Muyideen college of education road, Ganiki village road, police children sango road. Investigations indicated that almost 80 percent roads in AGUNBIADE street off sango are not motorable


With many urging the government to channel the internally generated revenue to construct the roads, a large percentage of people expressed disappointment that the concerned authorities has continued to show lackadaisical attitude towards the road 


Work and infrastructure took parts on the lion’s share with the allocation of N39.9bn earmarked for the sector in the 2022 budget. Out of this large portion, the ministry of works and infrastructure has allocated N34bn while the Kwara state Road maintenance Agency got N847m 


This fund are specifically dedicated to the construction of underpasses, flyovers, and bridges to constructing and rehabilitating various city roads 

 Efforts to ascertain the state of the road and get response to public complaints and outcry were not successful .


The kwara state commissioner for work and infrastructure,declined to respond to several calls and text messages put across to him.

  3. This is so bad I think the government should do the right thing cus if this road is flooded wen it’s raining a lot of lives will be at risk
