Akuo becomes inconducive environment to reside.

The residents of Akuo laments over lack of basic amenities that has caused inconvenience for its residents.



Owolabi Ridwan and Abdulazeez Onibon who are students of Kwara state polytechnic residing in Akuo stated that the village use to be a conducive environment for students to live in years back. 

 

They further stated that they are not enjoying their rights, instead, all they experience are, lack of water, low power supply, insecurity that as resulted in lost of property like phones and other electronic gadgets. Adding that the caretakers are not being considerate in the payments of house rent. 



However a caretaker of one of the apartments in Akuo stated the reason for their actions towards students, adding that some set of students do not vacate the building when their money is due and sometimes, delay in renewal of due.

By: Muhammad Sanni Aisha  fauziyat Qozeem a resident of sahoo said people dump waste product inside the river in sahoo, particularly the villagers at night. Fauziyat further stated that the dumping of waste products inside the river, had caused water pollution in the area, and makes the community looks unkept. She however appeal to kwara state government, and all stakeholders in the community to provide them a suitable waste-bin, and urge the residents to make proper use of it when it provided.
