 Akanlabi Community, Motorist laments over bad road

Akalanbi Community and other Road users in the community have Lamented over the bad road in the area which has been causing reoccurring Road Accident.


Speaking with one of the residents of Akalanbi community, Mr. Abdulganiyu farouq states that the bridge constructed along Sobi road between Akalanbi and Old Shao garage has been mostly the cause of accidents and casualties in the area due to improper road planning. 


He recalled that recently, the road that leads to the bridge has been busy with vehicles and pedestrians due to recently collapsed harmony Bridge. 


Another Tradesman Rasaki Sule emphasized that the bridge is supposed to be provided with a well constructed Guard rail to keep people or vehicles from falling off the bridge and compatible handrail for pedestrians, a heavier guard for vehicles, or a common railing for both in order to prevent unnecessary occurrences. 


The community urges the Kwara state government to take swift action in order to protect lives and properties.

    Government should be able to provide solution to this problem, but they won’t all they know how to do best is to lavish huge amount of money for there own use .

 Lack of waste bin cause water pollution in Sahoo, residents decried. By: Muhammad Sanni Aisha  fauziyat Qozeem a resident of sahoo said people dump waste product inside the river in sahoo, particularly the villagers at night. Fauziyat further stated that the dumping of waste products inside the river, had caused water pollution in the area, and makes the community looks unkept. She however appeal to kwara state government, and all stakeholders in the community to provide them a suitable waste-bin, and urge the residents to make proper use of it when it provided.

  By Mariam Abdulkareem Kwara State University, Malete facilitates the transport system with (40) forty new shuttle buses to convey Students on campus as the varsity set to complete it's smart city hostel that has the capacity to accommodate nothing less than five thousand Students. KWASU Vice Chancellor, prof. Muhammad Mustapha Akanbi on the 31st of January, 2022 Commissioned the project and unveil the new buses today in name of KWASU administrators, Students and the committee incharge of the buses maintenance and safety.
