 ELEKO RESIDENTS COMPLAINS OVER REFUSE DUMP

The residents of Eleko Yangan, Ilorin laid a complaint to the Mogaji of Eleko over the improper disposal of refuse at roadsides of the community. 


In an interview with the student president of the community, Omoboyede Joshua, he stated that the refuse dump is directly in front of his house and he has received a lot of complaints from both the students and villagers regarding the malodorous smell coming from the dump.


He furthered that if it’s not taken care of on time, it may lead to serious air pollution which may later result in outbreak of sickness to the people of the community.


Furthermore, he implore the Mogaji of Eleko to do something about this issue by pleading with residents to dispose their wastes properly.

 Lack of waste bin cause water pollution in Sahoo, residents decried. By: Muhammad Sanni Aisha  fauziyat Qozeem a resident of sahoo said people dump waste product inside the river in sahoo, particularly the villagers at night. Fauziyat further stated that the dumping of waste products inside the river, had caused water pollution in the area, and makes the community looks unkept. She however appeal to kwara state government, and all stakeholders in the community to provide them a suitable waste-bin, and urge the residents to make proper use of it when it provided.

KWASU Vice Chancellor, prof. Muhammad Mustapha Akanbi on the 31st of January, 2022 Commissioned the project and unveil the new buses today in name of KWASU administrators, Students and the committee incharge of the buses maintenance and safety.
