The Former Deputy Rector (Academic), Kwara State Polytechnic, Dr. Mrs. Habibat Adams on Thursday bags award of Excellence at Kwara State Polytechnic Center for Continuing Education (C.C.E) Maiden Lecture and Award of Excellence held at the Admiral Lawal Muhammed Akanbi Auditorium, Kwara State Polytechnic. 



Presenting the award, the Rector of the institution Engr. Jimoh Abdul described the awardee as a great leader, who has strived hard during her service in the polytechnic to contribute to the development of the Polytechnic. 


He however commended her effort for reshaping the Center during her service as the Director of the C.C.E, adding that it is a mini KwaraPoly.


In her own response, Dr. Mrs. Adams appreciated the Rector of the Polytechnic, center for finding her worthy of the award , and also the students for their support during her stay in the campus. 


she further that during her stay in the campus the center was not in order but with the support of the team that everything was put in place.


The former Deputy Rector (acad. )who advise the student not to relent in the academics, however dedicated the award to the students of the institution

 Lack of waste bin cause water pollution in Sahoo, residents decried. By: Muhammad Sanni Aisha  fauziyat Qozeem a resident of sahoo said people dump waste product inside the river in sahoo, particularly the villagers at night. Fauziyat further stated that the dumping of waste products inside the river, had caused water pollution in the area, and makes the community looks unkept. She however appeal to kwara state government, and all stakeholders in the community to provide them a suitable waste-bin, and urge the residents to make proper use of it when it provided.

  By Mariam Abdulkareem Kwara State University, Malete facilitates the transport system with (40) forty new shuttle buses to convey Students on campus as the varsity set to complete it's smart city hostel that has the capacity to accommodate nothing less than five thousand Students. KWASU Vice Chancellor, prof. Muhammad Mustapha Akanbi on the 31st of January, 2022 Commissioned the project and unveil the new buses today in name of KWASU administrators, Students and the committee incharge of the buses maintenance and safety. Prof. Mustapha said the buses will begin it operation today onward with ticket policing in which the charges of transport within campus is #30 while from TARMAC to school premises is #50.
