Fish  farmers disrupt water supply in asa dam - residents bemoans

Residents of Asa Dam, Ilorin Kwara State have bemoaned over the disruption of water supply in the area by fish farmers.  


One of the Residents, Mr Kayode Olorunsogo beseech the Government of Kwara State to look into the case, saying that the activities of fish farmers over the years have changed the water supply to the treatment of plants in asa dam works.


He further stated that Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency should organised seminar for the fish farmers, adding that all fish farmers operating around asa dam should registered with ministry of agriculture. 


He explained that many plants and property has been damaged due to those activities.

 Lack of waste bin cause water pollution in Sahoo, residents decried. By: Muhammad Sanni Aisha  fauziyat Qozeem a resident of sahoo said people dump waste product inside the river in sahoo, particularly the villagers at night. Fauziyat further stated that the dumping of waste products inside the river, had caused water pollution in the area, and makes the community looks unkept. She however appeal to kwara state government, and all stakeholders in the community to provide them a suitable waste-bin, and urge the residents to make proper use of it when it provided.
