Flood takes over saint Anthony road.
By: Kehinde Umar Olaitan
Floods from recent rainfalls have taken over the main road at Saint Anthony thereby affecting the free movement of motorists and also leading to hold-ups.
Motorists plying the roads have appealed to the Kwara state government to look into the issue and take necessary action to control the water overflow.
Lack of drainage is the reason for the overflow of flood to the road. The government is urged to construct drainages within the area, as that would pave way for the flood and stop overflowing the road.
One of the motorists, Abdullahi Musa while speaking with reporters appeals to the state government to save them and construct drainages. "lack of good drainage is the reason for the flood coming to the main road"
He, however, appealed to the state government to take drastic action now as a stitch in time saves nine, "We appeal to our able governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq to help us take necessary measures now before things escalate beyond control".
