The Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved the rehabilitation of the long overdue Shao-KWASU, Malete Road.


This was contained in statement by the governor’s Special Adviser on new Media, Fafoluyi Olayinka via his Twitter handle on Monday made available to 9japarrot



Recalled that students and concerned residents plying Shao-Malete route had over the time appealed to the Kwara state government to consider fixing the road.


Refusing to fix the road may lead to many lives to continue being at risk, and so are many businesses, over the deplorable state of the road, people laments.


The Vice Chancellor of Kwara state University, Prof. Mustapha Mohammed-Akanbi has earlier appealed to the state ministry of work to come to the rescue of the Institution on the rehabilitation of the road.



 The Vice Chancellor lamented that the condition of the road is deplorable, had claimed lives and that the damages caused by the road are devastating.

By: Muhammad Sanni Aisha  fauziyat Qozeem a resident of sahoo said people dump waste product inside the river in sahoo, particularly the villagers at night. Fauziyat further stated that the dumping of waste products inside the river, had caused water pollution in the area, and makes the community looks unkept. She however appeal to kwara state government, and all stakeholders in the community to provide them a suitable waste-bin, and urge the residents to make proper use of it when it provided.

KWASU Vice Chancellor, prof.
