The Kwara state government has organized a programme on malaria eradication means.

Disclosed  that  the  Kwara state government has organized a programme on malaria elimination called seasonal malaria chemoprevention SMC



A team  members Mrs Shakirat Jamiu said it was a great opportunity from the government to the people by making sure every child from the Age of 3months to 59months are free  from malaria,adding that the programme was during the raining season, it is only for 4months in year,4days in a month and that they are in 3rd cycle of the year. 


she also disclosed thar name of the drugs given to the children  as SPAQ (Sulphadoxine prymethamine + Ammodaquine )it is dissolvable drug. just a drop of it inside small water, and it is for 4days.



Shaikirat advice people to comply with them by bringing out their children out to collect the drug so as to see the end result and to make sure all the children within the range are fully immunized against malaria.

 Lack of waste bin cause water pollution in Sahoo, residents decried. By: Muhammad Sanni Aisha  fauziyat Qozeem a resident of sahoo said people dump waste product inside the river in sahoo, particularly the villagers at night. Fauziyat further stated that the dumping of waste products inside the river, had caused water pollution in the area, and makes the community looks unkept. She however appeal to kwara state government, and all stakeholders in the community to provide them a suitable waste-bin, and urge the residents to make proper use of it when it provided.

  By Mariam Abdulkareem Kwara State University, Malete facilitates the transport system with (40) forty new shuttle buses to convey Students on campus as the varsity set to complete it's smart city hostel that has the capacity to accommodate nothing less than five thousand Students. KWASU Vice Chancellor, prof. Muhammad Mustapha Akanbi on the 31st of January, 2022 Commissioned the project and unveil the new buses today in name of KWASU administrators, Students and the committee incharge of the buses maintenance and safety. Prof. Mustapha said the buses will begin it operation today onward with ticket policing in which the charges of transport within campus is #30 while from TARMAC to school premises is #50.
