 Harmony Estate commuters wail bridge collapse.

A fresh trouble for flooded communities road users in Harmony estate akerebiata Sobi road ilorin, Kwara State as bridge linking several communities collapsed.


The affected communities are commuters who linked this bridge to Akerebiata , Sobi road, Sango and entire harmony communities itself.


A road user,identified as Kareem Adeludere said, “this is the only bridge that links commuters from Sango to communities like Akerebiata, Sobi road and fast route to Gambari, but suddenly cut into two after a heavy downpour on Friday, 30th of September which only leave a small part to manage for motorcycles.


In an interview with one of the road user,Yusuf Abiodun Who is a keke napep driver on the route , also stated that” the collapse bridge has become a big suffering for them as it really affecting their business on the road. 


We learnt some ministries and government officials visited the area and now taking steps toward repairing the bridge. Meanwhile, residents of the affected area especially motorists are urge to desist from using the bridge pending the repair work on the bridge is completed.



Yusuf however appeal to kwara state government, to come to their aide, before the situation goes out of hand totally.

  1. The government needs to put speedy actions on feeders road such as the harmony road. When there is no good passage for erosion, this is most likely what we get during the rainy season. I urge the government on behalf of the residence of Harmony Estate to find a lasting solution to road collapse.
