A resident of ode alausa,omoda kwara state, appealed to the kwara state government to give compulsory order and warning should be issued to any residents who are found to dispose wrongly and fines should be imposed when caught recurrently.


In an exclusive interview with mrs titilayo Khadija who expressed displeasure over improper waste disposal system in ode alausa area.


According to her,every household generates waste or garbage, which should not be thrown any where and everywhere, but only in trash bins.its was shocking to see some residents leave their trash bags and bin outside or in an uncompleted building inspite of a notice that clearly followed.even worse,some residents just throw the open bags with contents spilling all over the place.


Moreso she stated that throwing garbage all over the place will not only dirty the surrounding and pollute the environment,making it very unhygienic but also cause bad odours and encourage the infestation of cockroaches,flies and other insects there are various diseases cause due to poor maintenance of hygienic conditions.


Another resident mrs Sikirah Abdulrahman says every citizens need to make sure that we all know proper disposal rules and fines should be compulsory, its surprising how we do not seen to understand that our convenience may end up in excess costs,and health hazards to order resident in addition to the risk of any injuries from split stuff,like broken plastic or glass
