 Kwara Police launch manhunt for brother who killed sibling testing gunshot charm

The Kwara State Police Command, said it was on the trail of one Abubakar Abubakar, who shot his younger sibling, Yusuf Abubakar, 12, dead in the process of testing the efficacy of a newly procured gunshot protective charm.

 

The two siblings, according to the police, are sons of a hunter known as Abubakar Abubakar in Dutse Gogo town via Kaiama, Kaiama Local Council of the state. 

 

The Command’s spokesperson, Okasanmi Ajayi, in a statement, said the culprit after committing the act with his father’s dane gun, escaped into the bush.

 

He said the Command has launched a manhunt for the fleeing suspect while an investigation into the incident would continue.

Fauziyat further stated that the dumping of waste products inside the river, had caused water pollution in the area, and makes the community looks unkept. She however appeal to kwara state government, and all stakeholders in the community to provide them a suitable waste-bin, and urge the residents to make proper use of it when it provided.
