Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin have started making check points in different strategic locations in the school campus to ensure appropriate security measures have been put in place to protect staff and students of the institution.



The Director, Directorate of Student’s Service (DSS), Dr. Ajadi Bolakale Saheed in an interview said "The check point is one of the project of the rector for the school campus, especially for security of live and properties. And also the check point is use to stop student not to move their cars beyond the roundabout, any student that violate this rule will pay the sum of five thousand naira". He also added that, the reason for these check points is to stop unauthorized people from entering into the school campus.

 Lack of waste bin cause water pollution in Sahoo, residents decried. By: Muhammad Sanni Aisha  fauziyat Qozeem a resident of sahoo said people dump waste product inside the river in sahoo, particularly the villagers at night. Fauziyat further stated that the dumping of waste products inside the river, had caused water pollution in the area, and makes the community looks unkept. She however appeal to kwara state government, and all stakeholders in the community to provide them a suitable waste-bin, and urge the residents to make proper use of it when it provided.

  By Mariam Abdulkareem Kwara State University, Malete facilitates the transport system with (40) forty new shuttle buses to convey Students on campus as the varsity set to complete it's smart city hostel that has the capacity to accommodate nothing less than five thousand Students. KWASU Vice Chancellor, prof. Muhammad Mustapha Akanbi on the 31st of January, 2022 Commissioned the project and unveil the new buses today in name of KWASU administrators, Students and the committee incharge of the buses maintenance and safety.
