 Kwara state Governor appoints new provost, for college of nursing oke-ode.

The Kwara State Government has announced the appointment of Alhaji Lanre Abdulquadri as the substantive provost, College of Nursing, Oke-Ode.


Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr. Abolore Alabi made the disclosure while handing over his letter of appointment to the institution’s Governing Council Chairperson, Hajia Mariam Ibrahim in Ilorin


In a statement made available to Just Event Online by Mansurat Amuda-kannike, Press Secretary, MOTE


Dr. Alabi described the appointment as a welcome development, pointing out that it was based on merit which did not involved any form of lobbying whatsoever.


He, however, charged the new provost to put to bare his wealth of knowledge and vast experience to reform the institution.


He directed the board of the institution to ensure proper handing over and taking over by the new provost within the next 48 hours.


In her brief remarks, the Governing Board Chairperson, Hajia Mariam Ibrahim commended the state government for appointing the right person to the position.

 Lack of waste bin cause water pollution in Sahoo, residents decried. By: Muhammad Sanni Aisha  fauziyat Qozeem a resident of sahoo said people dump waste product inside the river in sahoo, particularly the villagers at night. Fauziyat further stated that the dumping of waste products inside the river, had caused water pollution in the area, and makes the community looks unkept. She however appeal to kwara state government, and all stakeholders in the community to provide them a suitable waste-bin, and urge the residents to make proper use of it when it provided.

KWASU Vice Chancellor, prof.
