 MASS COMMUNICATION PRESIDENT CALLS  MANAGEMENT ATTENTION TO PROVIDE TOILET FACILITIES

The President of the department of mass communication, Sen. Joshua Adeyeye calls the attention of  the management of Kwara state polytechnic, Ilorin to the provision of public toilet in the school premises for the convenience of students of the institution. 


It was futher research  that 75% of the students defecates in the bushes, and it's as a result of lack of public toilets in the school premises. Scientific research has proven it that open defecation is harmful to human health ,adding that it is injurious to the medical health of staff, students, and other persons working around the polytechnic. 



According to Joshua in an interview with newsmen in the premises on October 9, 2022, he said, the school management should provide toilets on different strategic areas of the campus, and also, employ workers who will be in charge of its maintenance on a daily basis.


It is a known fact that an individual is exposed to disease like cholera if there is intake of food already contacted with by  tse-tse fly after feeding on human faeces. 


Joshua stressed that The management should set up committees who will serve as watchdogs by supervising the activities of the toilets maintenance, and also patrolling round the school to arrest and punish duly any students caught defecating or urinating in the bushes after the creation of the public toilets.

By: Muhammad Sanni Aisha  fauziyat Qozeem a resident of sahoo said people dump waste product inside the river in sahoo, particularly the villagers at night. Fauziyat further stated that the dumping of waste products inside the river, had caused water pollution in the area, and makes the community looks unkept. She however appeal to kwara state government, and all stakeholders in the community to provide them a suitable waste-bin, and urge the residents to make proper use of it when it provided.

  By Mariam Abdulkareem Kwara State University, Malete facilitates the transport system with (40) forty new shuttle buses to convey Students on campus as the varsity set to complete it's smart city hostel that has the capacity to accommodate nothing less than five thousand Students. KWASU Vice Chancellor, prof. Muhammad Mustapha Akanbi on the 31st of January, 2022 Commissioned the project and unveil the new buses today in name of KWASU administrators, Students and the committee incharge of the buses maintenance and safety.
