One 47 year old security guard, Mr Jacob Mayowa has been arrested by officers of Kwara state command of the Nigeria security and civil Defence Corps over allegedly having canal knowledge of 18year old biological daughter, Modupe Jacob. 


Babawale Afolabi told newsmen that the incident occurred at the suspect's workplace, which is also his residence at 24, Awolowo street, Tanke, Ilorin on Monday 3rd October 2022. 


It was reported by one Alhaja Mariam Bello, who claimed Modupe happened to be her adopted daughter, that the victim was raped by her biological father, after she moved out of her house where they both live at Gaa- Akanbi to stay with her father after a little misunderstanding between her and the victim.


She stated further that the victim joined her father in the house where he works as a security guard and it was during her first night with her father that the incident occurred.


In an interview with the victim, Modupe narrated how she begged her father not to rape her but all her plea fell on his deaf ear who after the unlawful act gave her 1000 naira to buy drugs to flush her system.


However, the Kwara state NSCDC image -maker stated that the state's commandant Iskilu Ayinla Makinde has been briefed of the incident and the suspect will be charged to court after the completion of the investigation.
