 Mismanagement of refuse and open dedication has become the order of the day - Ara residents lament

Dumping of refuge as become the order of the day in Ara metroplis of Kwara state, as people of the community take the advantages of too many bushes in the area to dumb there refuges and also for open defecation.

In an interview with A resident MR Salisu, he lamented that dropping of refuse improperly and open dedication as been the idea of the people living in the area, adding that many houses that were built in standard forms did not have toilets. 

He explained that people are ignorant of the act as they might not know the consequences of their behavior that perceiving bad odor might cause diseases to people living in the community.

Another resident, a student of kwara state polytechnic Miss Damilola Adeniji  highlighted that the causes of improper dumping of refuse and open defecation is rampant among both student and landlords in the community as most students rent houses that did not have toilet and some may has toilet and student will prefer going to the bush for defecation.

Damilola further said that the residents should help the government by making sure that they keep the environment clean as it is there duty and not to put all blames on the State Government.
