 Oke-Andi residents call on State Government for help over excessive flooding in the area.

The residence of ARAROMI Community, Oke-Andi, Kwara State, has called out to the State Government to help them out on the issue of flooding which is caused by the blocked drainage system in the area. 

      

During an interview with one of the residence, MR OLASHILE said the erosion is now stagnant as a result of blocked drainage systems by some villagers who dropped their wastes in the bridge for water to wash away. 



He said the erosion has gained entrance into many homes destroying lots of properties as a result of the act. 


Another resident, Mrs Suliyat said it has not cause only damage of properties, that it has also make their bore-hole water contaminated which is not consumable, to cook and bath

      


The community however pleaded to the government to help them find solutions to the the life challenging problem.

 Lack of waste bin cause water pollution in Sahoo, residents decried. By: Muhammad Sanni Aisha  fauziyat Qozeem a resident of sahoo said people dump waste product inside the river in sahoo, particularly the villagers at night. Fauziyat further stated that the dumping of waste products inside the river, had caused water pollution in the area, and makes the community looks unkept. She however appeal to kwara state government, and all stakeholders in the community to provide them a suitable waste-bin, and urge the residents to make proper use of it when it provided.

KWASU Vice Chancellor, prof.
