Residents of Oke Ose, Ilorin, the state Capital and students of Kwara State Polytechnic that resides in the area has lamented over two weeks blackout in the area. 


In an interview with one of the villagers, Mr Yinka Yekini who shared from the plight of the students said that the electricity distribution company habitually act like this whenever they noticed that students have resume based on the consuming electronics that the students used such as electric cooker, refrigerators and so on. 


It was gathered that local charging vendors had already hike charging price from a N50 note per charging to N100.


Speaking with one of the students that reside around this environment, Omotosho Sulaimon told us that, they'll have to go into the LUBE BAY that is meant for repairing faulty cars because many of them can't afford the normal charging price and this has cost many students to lost a lot of gadget at the point of recharging their batteries, he however pleaded to the power holding company, Oke Ose and it environs with mercy and gift them with power.

    Y will nepa do such a thing, do they not collect their own charges so y will they be complaining about consumption frm the students? The leaders together wit the youth leader should and talk to they abt it. Tenks

    It has always been like that for years,I wonder how the students residing there are coping..The students should try and get in touch with the Community Executives (Students and the indigenes)including the off campus executives,I hope they can resolve this.I pray God continue to strengthen you.....

By: Muhammad Sanni Aisha  fauziyat Qozeem a resident of sahoo said people dump waste product inside the river in sahoo, particularly the villagers at night. Fauziyat further stated that the dumping of waste products inside the river, had caused water pollution in the area, and makes the community looks unkept. She however appeal to kwara state government, and all stakeholders in the community to provide them a suitable waste-bin, and urge the residents to make proper use of it when it provided.
