 OKE–OSE COMMUNITY LAMENT ON POOR POWER SUPPLY

   The students and villagers of Oke Ose Community, Ilorin East has lament on the poor electricity in the community

    

During a visit to their residential area,many of the student and villagers complained bitterly about the poor condition of living


Speaking with Mrs kudirat who sells frozen food in the community, she said in an interview conducted on Monday 10th of October 2022."I am suffering, my generator has spoilt and no power supply to use my freezer for my business. At times, I borrow generator from neighbors since mine has not been fixed".

     

 Also, interviewing an ND1 student of the department of Business Administration Fuhad Yusuf who live in the area,he said " for the past few months I have not enjoyed electricity,I could not charge or pump water, I have to walk for about 200 metres before I can fetch water".

     

    The students and other members of the community calls for the government intervention because it is becoming unbearable for them to live.

 Lack of waste bin cause water pollution in Sahoo, residents decried. By: Muhammad Sanni Aisha  fauziyat Qozeem a resident of sahoo said people dump waste product inside the river in sahoo, particularly the villagers at night. Fauziyat further stated that the dumping of waste products inside the river, had caused water pollution in the area, and makes the community looks unkept. She however appeal to kwara state government, and all stakeholders in the community to provide them a suitable waste-bin, and urge the residents to make proper use of it when it provided.

  By Mariam Abdulkareem Kwara State University, Malete facilitates the transport system with (40) forty new shuttle buses to convey Students on campus as the varsity set to complete it's smart city hostel that has the capacity to accommodate nothing less than five thousand Students. KWASU Vice Chancellor, prof. Muhammad Mustapha Akanbi on the 31st of January, 2022 Commissioned the project and unveil the new buses today in name of KWASU administrators, Students and the committee incharge of the buses maintenance and safety. Prof. Mustapha said the buses will begin it operation today onward with ticket policing in which the charges of transport within campus is #30 while from TARMAC to school premises is #50.
