 Refuse packed from uncompleter building to students hostel

A students who reside at Yakuba Community, Journalist Villa, have lamented over the unhealthy behavior of someone in the community who packed waste from an uncompleted building and deposited it in front of students hostel. 


Odewumi Lateefat, one of the students of the hostel, lamented that non-challant attitudes of residents in the community has led to waste mismanagement in the area, adding that that they have turned the place to where they dump their refuse. 


She furthered that asides from refuse in front of their hostel, there is also an open pit where people excrete which has caused air pollution. 


According to one MR. Ali popularly known as “Agba”, he said the the building has been sold to another person since the initial owner became late. 


He added that the place has turned to refuse dump, and this is why workers in the new building irresponsible packed it where they see. 


The residents therefore called on government agencies to look into the matter, as it is an environment crimes.

 Lack of waste bin cause water pollution in Sahoo, residents decried. By: Muhammad Sanni Aisha  fauziyat Qozeem a resident of sahoo said people dump waste product inside the river in sahoo, particularly the villagers at night. Fauziyat further stated that the dumping of waste products inside the river, had caused water pollution in the area, and makes the community looks unkept. She however appeal to kwara state government, and all stakeholders in the community to provide them a suitable waste-bin, and urge the residents to make proper use of it when it provided.
