Relief as Saliu Mustapha completes abandoned power sub-station supplying kunlende/Sango communities

The Turaki of Ilorin and Kwara Central Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mallam Saliu Mustapha, has directed the immediate completion of the long abandoned Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) Injection Sub-Station at Kunlende area of Ilorin.

On completion, the electrification project is expected to boost electricity supply by a record 17 hours daily to Kunlende/Royal Valley/Idi-Igba/Akerebiata/Gambari and Sango communities in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

It would be recalled that the power project had been abandoned since 2017, thus prompting Mustapha through his foundation, the Saliu Mustapha Foundation, to intervene with a view to stemming the tide of erratic power supply in the area and in turn stimulate the economy of residents and shop owners, who depend on electricity supply.
