The residents of ilorin in Oke-Ose, Dangiwa and Kwarapoly area laments on the poor electricity supply to the area as it affect their social and economic activities.


speaking with newsmen ,Miss Rauf Adeshewa, a resident of Dangiwa area in ilorin, says that the because of the epileptic power supply they have to go to different house to charge their home appliances and phone.


According to Adeshewa they have to charge our phone and appliances wherever and whenever we heard of generator in the area, and this has become a bad night mare for everyone in the area.


A frozen fish seller, who operate at Oke-Ose area of Ilorin, Mr Ahmad Worldwide, also describe the situation as highly frustrating.


Adding that her job depends basically on electricity, and since they have been experiencing poor power supply her business has suffered seriously for lack of patronage and my good is in devastating level, adding that she have been using generator for some time now and which is really costly and unaffordable.


Mr Kale Akopari, An Officer of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company IBEDC, Baboko Unit, confirmed the poor electricity supply during a phone interview ,According to him, the situation is not peculiar to Ilorin and its environs as the entire state is affected.
