Residents decries over poor power supply

Residents of Kara, Dangiwa in Oke-Ose Community, Ilorin, decried over poor electricity supply in the area as they struggle with the effects of epileptic power supply caused by a bad transformer.
In spite of several entreaties to Ilorin Electricity Distribution Company, the residents efforts prove abortive to get new one.
The residents complained bitterly about the low current of their electricity as it affected most of the community businesses that based on electricity to work.
The Chairperson, Mr SULEIMAN AREMU, during an interview, made it known that it over six months now the OKE-OSE and its division have electricity.
During an interview with one of the business tycoons in the community, Mr OLAITAN AFEEZ (OGA), he lamented that people in the community doing one business or the other that requires electricity are going through terrible time due to the state of their electricity.
He also stated that the entire OKE-OSE and its sub-divided area are managing only two transformers, adding that the first transformer has been serving them for more that two years before getting weak and reduced the power supply, which could not serve the entire community before.
He furthered that they decided to get the second transformer by the people around the community, emphasizing that second transformer can not be rely on because it is over loaded.
The community therefore pleaded to the state government to please look into their situation as a matter of urgency and provide stable electricity for the community, adding that it is an urgent need in the area.
