 Residents plea to Government  For water supply

The residents of ORI Oke community in ilorin, the State Capital has pleaded with the State Government to make provision of drinkable water supply for them in the community and its environs.


According to them, the only  source of water available is the hand borehole at “Water lee hostel”, Ori Oke, which serves different communities like Elekoyangan, Anfeyin  and others is always crowded and time consuming due too the high population it serves.


In an interview with Mrs  Dauda sofiat, who resides at water lee hostel laments how noisey and populated the  water get when students are around and which sometimes results too misunderstanding among students and villagers. 


she complained bitterly at the number of people that usually come to fetch it and how early it alway be. 


MR MUYIDEEN an architectural student of Kwara State Polytechnic also complained about the distance, adding that  getting water as early as 5am is the only option in order for him to meet up with class. 


They however appealed to the State Government to look into the it as a matter of urgency and provide them enough water in the area.

 Lack of waste bin cause water pollution in Sahoo, residents decried. By: Muhammad Sanni Aisha  fauziyat Qozeem a resident of sahoo said people dump waste product inside the river in sahoo, particularly the villagers at night. Fauziyat further stated that the dumping of waste products inside the river, had caused water pollution in the area, and makes the community looks unkept. She however appeal to kwara state government, and all stakeholders in the community to provide them a suitable waste-bin, and urge the residents to make proper use of it when it provided.

  By Mariam Abdulkareem Kwara State University, Malete facilitates the transport system with (40) forty new shuttle buses to convey Students on campus as the varsity set to complete it's smart city hostel that has the capacity to accommodate nothing less than five thousand Students. KWASU Vice Chancellor, prof. Muhammad Mustapha Akanbi on the 31st of January, 2022 Commissioned the project and unveil the new buses today in name of KWASU administrators, Students and the committee incharge of the buses maintenance and safety.
