 Saho community people complain over refuse dump

Residents in saho have cried out for help, requesting that the government should, as a matter of urgency, clear up refuse dumps in the community to avoid outbreak of diseases.


The residents expressed displeasure on how the government kept muteover the indiscriminate dumping of refuse.


It was reported that,they were concerned about water pollution, drainage blocking, flooding, land pollution, and infrastructural degradation.


Speaking to speaking with newsmen ,Mr Ismaila Muhammad, in Saho stated that people are dumping refuse on the road because there were no designated areas to dump them neither was the local government agency saddled with the responsibility clearing them.


He also said that the refuse not cleared by the appropriate authorities could lead to an outbreak of diseases that could affect the health of the people.


Mr Waheed habeeb also Saho said that the refuse has been left unattended to for months.


He further pleaded to the state government to provide a lasting solution to the problem facing the vicinity.

 Lack of waste bin cause water pollution in Sahoo, residents decried. By: Muhammad Sanni Aisha  fauziyat Qozeem a resident of sahoo said people dump waste product inside the river in sahoo, particularly the villagers at night. Fauziyat further stated that the dumping of waste products inside the river, had caused water pollution in the area, and makes the community looks unkept. She however appeal to kwara state government, and all stakeholders in the community to provide them a suitable waste-bin, and urge the residents to make proper use of it when it provided.
