The popular Ilorin born Islamic scholar, Sheik Dr. Sulaimon Faruq onikijipa has be given a national award of Officer of Order of the Niger - OON.


President Muhammadu Buhari congratulate conferred National Honours on 433 Nigerians and 7 non-Nigerians who duly deserved the honoour.


The cleric was sometime last year installed as the Grand Mufti of Ilorin by the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari.


Other prominent Ilorin indigenes awarded are Hon. Justice Ayo Salami - Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic, CFR, Prof. Wale Suleiman - Commander of the Order of the Niger CON, Hon. Justice Idris Haroon - Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic OFR

 Lack of waste bin cause water pollution in Sahoo, residents decried. By: Muhammad Sanni Aisha  fauziyat Qozeem a resident of sahoo said people dump waste product inside the river in sahoo, particularly the villagers at night. Fauziyat further stated that the dumping of waste products inside the river, had caused water pollution in the area, and makes the community looks unkept. She however appeal to kwara state government, and all stakeholders in the community to provide them a suitable waste-bin, and urge the residents to make proper use of it when it provided.

  By Mariam Abdulkareem Kwara State University, Malete facilitates the transport system with (40) forty new shuttle buses to convey Students on campus as the varsity set to complete it's smart city hostel that has the capacity to accommodate nothing less than five thousand Students. KWASU Vice Chancellor, prof. Muhammad Mustapha Akanbi on the 31st of January, 2022 Commissioned the project and unveil the new buses today in name of KWASU administrators, Students and the committee incharge of the buses maintenance and safety. Prof. Mustapha said the buses will begin it operation today onward with ticket policing in which the charges of transport within campus is #30 while from TARMAC to school premises is #50.
