STRIKEF: FGTHREATENS ASSU WITH DISDAIN

The federal government has threaten to sue lectures who are members of Academics staff union of university if they fail to resume as ruled by the national industrial court.
Minister of labour and employment [Dr Chris ngige] who issued this threat on 7/10/ 2022 (Friday) that he directed the labour controller to monitor compliance at all tertiary institutions across the state.
TheAcademic staff union of university has said it will study the ruling of appeal court which ordered it members to return back to work.
The Asuu president proffessor Emmanuel Osodeke reacted on behalf of the union
It was reported that the court of appeal In Abuja on Friday, ordered the Academic staff union of university to call off its strike
The court gave the union lecture seven days within which to file it’s notice of appeal against the order of the national industrial court.
Agreeing with the federal government argument that Asuu can not approach the appellate court with dirty hands ,the panel hold should the applicant fail to obey.
The order ( of the lower court) the leave granted shall be automatically vacated.

Good to see both party coming to agreement.
