 UNAVAILABILITY OF POWER SUPPLY IN STUDENT AREA DAN_GIWA ALONG ARA ROAD

The residence of dan_giwa along ara road laments on the inconvenient of power supply to the community due to the damaged transformer. 

    According to the residents, the transformer in the area, which was installed over 10 years ago has become old and it no longer serving the community,adding that it no longer save it purposes again.


One of the community leader, mr Abdulrazaq Abdulhameed said power that power supply to the community in the past 3 years had become very irregular, emphasizing that sometimes the area might not have power for 2 month at a stretch. 

     He also stated that the community’s population was a fraction of what it is now yet the same transformer had continued to be in use. The transformer has now become very old and doesn’t have the capability anymore.


  A trader in the community mrs Halimah Abdullahi also said that sales and business has not been going well due to the lack of electricity supply.


 The resident at large urge the state government and appropriate authorities to give them a new transformer and restore power supply to the community.
