 Yakuba community lament over bad road

The Residents of Yakuba area, in Ilorin the Kwara State Capital has lamented over the deplorable condition of the road leading into the community. 


Yakuba being a community close to the State Polytechnic and where many students resides has recorded high rate of accidents in few months compare to some years back due to the bad road. 




In An interview with some villagers in the area, Mrs yunusu Toyin simbiat, said their area becomes almost unaccessible when ever it rains, adding that this has caused numbers of accidents in the area. 


she further stated that residents has made several complain to the government for the past two years about the road but the problem is being neglected. 


The residents however urged the state government to look into the matter as a matter of urgency to avoid loss of lives and properties in the area.

 Lack of waste bin cause water pollution in Sahoo, residents decried. By: Muhammad Sanni Aisha  fauziyat Qozeem a resident of sahoo said people dump waste product inside the river in sahoo, particularly the villagers at night. Fauziyat further stated that the dumping of waste products inside the river, had caused water pollution in the area, and makes the community looks unkept. She however appeal to kwara state government, and all stakeholders in the community to provide them a suitable waste-bin, and urge the residents to make proper use of it when it provided.

  By Mariam Abdulkareem Kwara State University, Malete facilitates the transport system with (40) forty new shuttle buses to convey Students on campus as the varsity set to complete it's smart city hostel that has the capacity to accommodate nothing less than five thousand Students. KWASU Vice Chancellor, prof. Muhammad Mustapha Akanbi on the 31st of January, 2022 Commissioned the project and unveil the new buses today in name of KWASU administrators, Students and the committee incharge of the buses maintenance and safety.
