 Yakuba street rocked by alleged sex scandal.

A 19 year old resident of Yakuba, Sandra Oguntade alleged that her boyfriend Sadiq Abiodun tried to raped her at her first visit to his house.


Sandra said in an interview that she met Sadiq at Sango and they exchanged contacts before she then planned on visiting him and he attempted to rape her which she voiced out.


She furthered that Sadiq tried every means to convince her to visit him in his Villa and as she trusted him not to hurt her and she decided to visit him so they can get to know each other better.


She however narrated that after series of attempt from Sadiq in persuading her to have sex with him did not yield a positive result, he tried to forced himself on her since she refused to succumb. 


She added that it was until when she screamed that Sadiq decided to leave her alone and squeeze in 1,000 naira note in her hand so that she won't tell his neighbours what transpired between them.


Sadiq in his statement, described the allegation as a blackmail. "Let me state emphatically that I never attempted to rape or sexually harass her" he stated. 


     

However, the statement signed by the Nigeria Police Divisional Headquarters off Elerin Way announced that Sadiq will be held behind bars pending the conclusion of the independent investigation into the sexual harassment and rape case. 


Although, Sandra has made it clear that she is no longer interested in pushing the case further. Kwara State police command insisted on going ahead with the investigation, describing it as an offense against the state.

Fauziyat further stated that the dumping of waste products inside the river, had caused water pollution in the area, and makes the community looks unkept.
