   A non governmental organization, golden charity foundation has given out alms to more than one hundred needy in Ilorin for the celebration of Christmas festival.    The organization did this on Christmas day,where many gift were donated to city of refuge  orphanage home pipeline Gaa Akanbi Ilorin. And food was donated to the street beggar for the purpose of letting them smile in this festive period.      Founder of Golden Charity foundation Ibrahim Shukurat  pledge to the orphans to feel free to each others,and more also they should emulate the characters of Jesus Christ among themselves.   Countryside Emerging Leaders Fellowship (CELF) and its partners have announced prize awards for outstanding fellows in the just concluded camping exercise for the second edition of the fellowship. Announcing the prizes on Thursday, Convener of CELF, Mallam Lawal Olohungbebe, who appraised the outstanding performance of the fellows, said it was difficult picking the best considering that all the participants put in their best efforts to justify their selection for the programme.  Olohungbebe noted that some fellows, more than others, met the specific requirements spelt out for some awards and the requirements of the donors. Lecturer Shot As Armed Robbers Attack Ibadan Poly

 The Polytechnic of Ibadan has confirmed an attack by suspected armed robbers on the institution’s staff quarters in the early hours of Monday. The Public Relations Officer of the institution, Mr Soladoye Adewole confirmed the incident in a telephone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ibadan. The attack occurred at about 12:30 a.m at the North campus of the polytechnic. A lecturer in the Department of Biology, Mr Okedara Emmanuel, who was injured during the attack was rushed to the University College Hospital, Ibadan for treatment. Adewole said that no life was lost while the lecturer, who had gunshot wounds, is responding to treatment. The matter has been reported to the police and security has been scaled up at the campus, he added.

30-Year-Old Man Brutally Murders Parents

 A 30-year-old man, Wallen Undi, has been arrested for the brutal murder of his father and mother in Lilongwe District, Malawi. Spokesperson for Lilongwe Police, Insp. Hastings Chingalu, who confirmed the incident in a statement said the suspect killed his parents for unknown reason at Malimbwe Village (Chitedze area), Traditional Authority Malili in Lilongwe on Sunday, December 19, 2021. The slain parents have been identified as Williams Lester Undi, 72, and Molly Undi, 68, both from same Malimbwe village.  A 30-years-old man, identified as Ibrahim Abdulazeez, has been arrested in Osogbo, Osun state for allegedly purchased a Toyota Camry 2010 model for N2,650 from a car dealer. The Police commissioner Olawale Olokode while parading some suspects at the police headquarters in the state capital on Friday, said the Mr Abdulazeez allegedly committed the offence on November 26, at 3:30 p.m CP Olokode said that the suspect later through a bank transfer paid N2,650 for the car sold to him for N2.65million. The Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, who spoke to THISDAY at the weekend on the update of government’s engagement with ASUU, said that he had received confirmation from the Federal Ministry of Finance that funds had been released to the universities for the revitalisation of infrastructure and payment of earned allowances.  Kwara State University (KWASU) management have offered Olufunmilayo Oyetunde, the top graduating student in the 2020/2021 semester, a job. Oyetunde, who studied Geology, was among the 6,620 graduands who received degrees at the 8th and 9th convocations, which also included students who completed their studies in 2019/2020. There were 3,864 graduands for the 2019/2020 session and 2,756 for the 2020/2021 session Oyetunde and 97 other students achieved First Class Honours, including Christiana Abolarin, who outperformed her peers in the 2019/2020 academic year.  Operatives of the Imo state police command have rescued abducted Eze Damian Nwaigwe, the traditional ruler of Mbutu in Aboh-Mbaise council area unhurt This was contained in a statement released on Saturday by the police spokesperson in Imo, CSP Michael Abattam. The PPRO said the traditional ruler had been reunited with his family. He added that security had been beefed in the area.  A Yaba Magistrate court in Lagos state has remanded five students of Dowen College in Lekki who were arrested by the Police in connection to the death of 12-year-old Sylvester Oromoni, in a juvenile home. Oromoni Jnr. died of complications, last week, as a result of injuries sustained from an attack by a group of five senior colleagues for allegedly refusing to join a cult group in the school. The spokesperson of Lagos State Police Command, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, confirmed the development but stated that investigation into the matter is still ongoing.
